However, in recent years, the growth of resistant bacterial strains, the discovery of Legionella, and other difficulties related with chlorine compounds have increased interest in alternate water purification systems, the most prominent of which are ANECO® products.

Aneco® and Cateco® are manufactured in the same way as chlorine, chlorine gas, sodium hypochlorite, sodium hydroxide, hydrogen, and ozone are formed by electrolysis of water and sea salt.
Unlike chlorine, the most often used water disinfectant, pure, pH-neutral hypochlorous acid (Aneco®) from ANECO® facilities has shown to be far more efficient and complete, while even chlorine requires other acid additions to preserve pH. The soda ash produced (Cateco®) is 100% natural and has no disposal expenditures, unlike caustic soda.
ANECO®‘s revolutionary technique not only enhances outcomes, but also needs fewer management and safety solutions at much lower costs than typical treatments like chlorination, ozonation, and UV radiation.




Electrical/electronic component

The ANECO® system consists of an electrolytic cell with two electrodes separated by a ceramic-diaphragmatic membrane, an anode and a cathode.
The likely concerns of electrode deterioration, which are currently observed in other similar systems, have been solved through a unique approach of electrical control via complicated electronic systems and the quality of the alloys chosen over time.

Electronic hydrolytic component

The ANECO® diaphragm cell is a circular titanium and rare metal electrolyte reactor. A polymer or ceramic diaphragm separates the electrodes.

The high electric field strength at the electrode surface imparts a degree of electro-meta-stability to the water and its dissolved salts, increasing their ORP in the order of -800mv and + 1200mv in the two flows.
This meta-stable state persists for up to 72 hours after treatment and even longer, retaining an intrinsically greater reactivity and chemical activity for this period and even longer (when properly kept, activated solutions remain extremely effective for 6 to 18 months).
The substantially greater ORP than any other product on the market today greatly improves the solubility, dispersive, and reactive characteristics of water and its dissolved salts, and is a strong indicator of biocidal potential.
The electrical parameters of the feed and the chemical composition of the treated solutions influence the properties of these solutions. The pH of the synthesized solutions is regulated in the range 2.5 -13.0, however because it is customizable, it may be customized for specific values.
