Irrigation and crop protection
ANECO technologies leverage the effectiveness of hypochlorous acid to optimize irrigation water treatment, microbiological control, and post-harvest hygiene, while ensuring pest control.
Hypochlorous acid for modern agriculture
Aneco™ offers an advanced alternative to conventional disinfectants. Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) exerts effective biocidal activity, contributing to the microbiological control of crops and irrigation water without leaving residues on the treated product.
- Irrigation water treatment
- Post-harvest protection
- Pest control
Irrigation water recycling
Aneco™ is used for the treatment of well, surface and recovered water, contributing to the reduction of microbial load and the improvement of the quality of water intended for irrigation.
Environmental hygiene and pest control
Aneco™ contributes to the sanitation of agricultural environments and water systems, supporting the preventive management of insects, pests and the red palm weevil, with reduced reliance on chemical insecticides.
Post-harvest preservation
Sanitizes cereals, fruits, and vegetables, extending shelf life and inhibiting critical pathogens such as Penicillium digitatum and Phytophthora citrophthora in citrus fruits.
Documented field results
Antimicrobial efficacy based on the oxidative action of hypochlorous acid (HOCl).
Absence of hazardous chemical residues
The solution degrades rapidly, leaving only trace amounts compatible with food safety.
Increase in production
Forages treated with Aneco™ increases milk production.
Extended shelf life
Significant reduction in microbial load on stored fruit and vegetables.
Where Aneco™ makes the difference
Dedicated solutions for each stage of the agri-food supply chain.
Washing and preservation of fresh produce
Sanitizes fruits and vegetables, inhibiting post-harvest pathogens and maintaining product color, texture, and integrity.
Water treatment
Reduces water consumption and increases the water resilience of farms.
Pest control
Contributes to reducing of conditions favorable to the proliferation of larvae and insect vectors.
Silage protection
Supports forage preservation, reducing the use of traditional chemical preservatives.
Question and answers
Answers to your questions about efficacy, safety and applications of ANECO in agriculture.
How does Aneco™ work on crops?
Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) acts as a broad-spectrum oxidizing agent, contributing to the control of bacteria, viruses, and fungi present on crops. The effectiveness of the treatment depends on the concentration applied and the contact time, and is based on oxidative mechanisms that inactivate microorganisms and inhibit the germination of conidia and spores. The treatment acts rapidly, and after its disinfecting action, the solution tends to degrade into non-persistent species.
Which microorganisms does Aneco™ control?
In citrus production, Aneco™ has demonstrated efficacy against several microorganisms associated with the post-harvest phase, including Penicillium digitatum, Penicillium italicum, Geotrichum citri-aurantii, Phytophthora citrophthora and Alternaria alternata. More generally, the oxidizing action of hypochlorous acid allows the control of a broad spectrum of microorganisms relevant to agricultural processes and post-harvest applications.
Is it possible to reuse water treated with Aneco™?
Aneco™ is used in the treatment of well, surface and recovered water, contributing to the improvement of the microbiological quality of water. The possible reuse of treated water depends on compliance with the regulatory and technical requirements applicable to the specific intended use (e.g. irrigation or industrial uses). The use of controlled disinfection systems can contribute to reducing drinking water consumption and improving water resource management.
How does Aneco™ contribute to forage preservation?
Aneco™ is used in the hygienic management of forage and silage, contributing to the control of microbial load and the improvement of storage conditions. Controlling unwanted microorganisms can promote greater product stability over time and improved overall biomass quality. Operational results may vary depending on the application conditions, the matrix being treated, and the process management methods.
